I’ve down loaded the colonize.sit file for upgrading my version of
colonization for the mac from the microprose ftp site, but version 3.5 of
stuffit dosen’t recognize it as a stuffit file. Anybody else have this
problem? Can anyone suggest a solution? I appreciate any and all comments,
I thank you in advance for your help.

Hey netters,
I’m a guy with a IIsi who won’t be acquiring anything better for a few
more years, and am looking for something new to do with it.
I’m sort of interested in the somewhat obsolete Maxis game Robosport but
would like to know more about it. I visited Maxis’ web site and saw a few
screen shots, and that I could get it for $10, but I’ve never actually
seen it run and would like to hear from some people who have played it.
I like strategic combat games like Spaceward Ho. Will I like Robosport?
What about Robosport makes it fun or makes you like it or dislike it?
How will it run on my IIsi?
Anybody care to sell me a copy cheap?
Do you know of any net resources related to Robosport?
Thanks for any comments/replies.

Hi,
I recall hearing that Arsenal Pub. was planning to release a naval war
game sometime in the future. Does anyone know about this game, what time
period it will cover, and when we might expect to see it?
(If this is true, it may give all of us who are fed up with 360 a way to
voice our disappointment over their handling of HarpoonII)

I just tried to play a game on the net called Medieval War, off a wargame
web site. After it downloaded a file, I got a message saying I needed
something called MacGzip to open the file. OK, what is it and where can I
find it?
Game On!
PS. Anybody ever played Medieval War?
Anyone for some new annoying facts about Microprose (sigh)?
The new Colonization Upgrade ("Fat Colonization"
ftp://ftp.microprose.com/pub/mps-online/new-versions/colonize.sit) is
buggy, at least on 14" monitors. In the Colony Display you cannot see the
numbers of goods in the warehouse view, because a (useless) menu-bar is
displayed on top of the screen and the colony display-window is therefore
too "low". You have to adjust the window EVERY TIME you open a colony
display! That is tiresome and annoying, and slows down the gameplay more
than the native speed-up achieves. Did ANYONE test this up/downgrade before
posting it?
Still it is of course nice to see, that they are still upgrading their
mac-software at all. I hope this gets fixed soon.

Can anyone out there recommend a good civil war game for the Mac?
By that I mean a strategic level hex-based game. Something less
complicated than ASL but not one of these miniatures-type battle
simulators. Alternatively, a tactical level single-battle game
might be interesting too.

Hey,
After enjoying Warcraft, I e-mailed Blizzard to ask about Warcraft II for
Mac. Here is the reply I got, though you might be interested.

Dear Sir,
There has been no formal announcement that Warcraft II will be
released for the Macintosh. Until sales of Warcraft Orcs & Humans
demonstrate a large enough market for the conversion of Warcraft II,
we have no way of releasing a date that it could hit the the
shelves.
Thanks,
