Hello all,

I have purchased spaceward Ho 4.0 for my mac and have been most impressed.
It is really fun!  Currently I have a LC630 connected up to my old SE for
net games (localtalk).  

My question is: can I setup a net game over the internet for Ho4.0 without
using OUTLAND, as I already pay for my connection to the net, Outlans’s
US$10 is a fairly expensive additional cost I can do without.

Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.

I found the latest version of U-boat, namely Drum Beat, on Cyberian Outpost.

Has anyone played this game and is willing to share his/her experiences with it?

I’m interested in finding out how much of the game has been rehashed
(i.e., does it still have the same limited set of missions and propensity
to put enemies on 90/180/270-degree boundaries, etc.). Also, does it allow
you to attack convoys?

Aesthetically U-Boat blows any other submarine simulator for the Mac out
of the water. Strategically, however, it is very limited (due probably to
the fact that it was developed with HyperCard instead of something more
powerful) and starts to get boring after a couple hours of play.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Does anyone have an e-mail address and/or web page for Alliance games (the
makers of Sub Battle Simulator, etc)?

Does anyone know if War Patrol (their new submarine simulator) has already
been released? It’s not available from Cyberian Outpost.

 I am looking for the Simcity urban renewal kit for the mac in the UK, and cannot see it in either my local shops, or in the mail order ads.
 Is it available here, and if so does anybody know where I could get it from?
 Mac software is *unbelievably* sparse around here.

I have played col several times. when I have got a lot of cities and units
I get the messages that no further units can be created. It causes
me problems because I almost am in independence war. Thus I cannot
create more military units or any other items. I want to know if there is
something I can do.

I recently saw a copy of Diplomacy for DOS systems in a store.
Does anyone know whether it approaches the anarchy of the board
game? Anyone have a contact for Avalon Hill to find out if a
MAC version is available?

     Kudos to all those who voiced their concern over the problems with
Colonization, it seems to have paid off (‘though the proof will be in the
pudding!)
     Microprose support has recently posted a message indicating that they
will begin work on an update for Colonization.  This update is expected to
specifically address the speed problem many users have been complaining
about as well as any other "technical issues" brought to their attention
over the next couple of weeks.  I assume "technical issues" refers to
bugs….

     So people, here’s your chance to have the most annoying features/bugs
of the game fixed!  Get your list of high runner "technical problems" to
the Microprose support people asap (supp…@microprose.com)…..
